How does the EPSON SureColor P20570 compare to the previous generation SureColor P20000?

The EPSON SureColor P20570 has refined all the best features of the SureColor P20000 and put it all on a newly designed platform. The P20570 boasts the largest color gamut of any SureColor printer ever made and the highest ink capacity, with 12 800mL or 1.6L bags in an ink tower, allowing for more printing and less downtime. This also translates to lower ink costs with larger volume cartridges. The SureColor P20570 is the fastest photo printer in the SureColor P-series lineup, featuring a 2.6" Micro TFP print head, a 64" width, and a system-on-a-chip processor. A Black Enhance Overcoat Technology makes glossy prints on the SureColor P20570 surpass that of the SureColor P20000 with a high D-max and smoother tonal gradations on glossy media. In short, the SureColor P20570 has larger ink capacity, boasts faster speeds and higher print quality than the previous SureColor P20000. We discuss the key differences between the two printers in length on our blog here.

2 Print permanence in testing. Wilhelm Imaging Research lightfastness ratings are based on accelerated testing of prints on specified media, displayed indoors, under glass. Actual print stability will vary according to media, printed image, display conditions, light intensity, humidity and atmospheric conditions. Epson does not guarantee longevity of prints. For maximum print life, display all prints under glass or UV-absorbing acrylic and protect them from prolonged high-humidity environments. Visit www.wilhelm-research.com for the latest information.

3 Print speeds are based on the print engine speed only. Total throughput time for any print depends on various factors including workstation configuration, file size, print resolution, ink coverage and networking. Actual print speeds will vary.
