Position Overview
Account Manager
The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our relationships with existing customers. Combining elements of Inside Sales, Customer Service, and Account Retention, this role requires expert communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and a knack for cultivating meaningful relationships.
This role is full-time, M-F 8A-5P, 100% in person at our Rolling Meadows, IL corporate office, reporting to the General Manager of Commercial Sales and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Maintenance
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned accounts, developing strong connections and understanding their evolving needs
Customer Satisfaction
- Proactively engage with customers to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded, and consistently strive for excellence
Business Relationship Building
- Cultivate long-term relationships with clients through regular communication, personalized interactions, and proactive problem-solving
Retention Strategies
- Devise and implement strategies to enhance client retention, leveraging innovative techniques and creative solutions to sustain and grow existing accounts
Revenue Growth
- Drive sales by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to introduce additional products or services.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Technical Support, and Product Management to address client concerns, optimize customer experience, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on industry trends, client feedback, and market dynamics to refine strategies and enhance the overall experience with IT Supplies
Metrics Tracking
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to client satisfaction, retention rates, and revenue growth, taking proactive measures to address any differences from targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Proven experience in client-facing roles, preferably in Inside Sales or Account Management
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a keen ability to establish trust and rapport with diverse clientele
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering creative solutions tailored to individual client needs
- Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
- Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive and adaptable approach to challenges
