Epson SureColor V1070 — Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Epson SureColor V1070 best for?

The V1070 is a compact A4 desktop UV flatbed printer built for startups and small shops printing promotional products, signage, and custom items. It prints directly onto objects like keychains, golf balls, pens, and rigid signage, making it a low-cost entry point into UV printing without the floor space of a larger flatbed.

What size can the V1070 print?

The V1070 is an A4 desktop flatbed, sized for small-format work such as promotional products, awards, phone cases, and short-run signage. If you need a larger bed, the Epson SureColor V4000 steps up to a 38.5-inch by 27.5-inch bed, and the Epson SureColor V7000 runs a full 4-foot by 8-foot bed for production sign work.

What ink does the V1070 use?

It uses Epson's 6-color UltraChrome UV ink set, which includes opaque white ink and gloss/matte varnish ink. White ink lets you print on dark and transparent materials, while varnish adds gloss, matte, or textured finishes. Ink comes in 140 mL packs designed for use exclusively with Epson ink.

What can you print with the V1070?

The V1070 prints directly onto promotional products and rigid substrates, including keychains, golf balls, pens, awards, acrylic, wood, and signage materials. Because UV ink cures instantly under LED lamps, prints come off the bed dry and ready to handle.

Should I buy the V1070 or the V4000?

Choose the V1070 for desktop-scale work: promotional products, small custom items, and shops just getting started with UV printing. Choose the V4000 when you outgrow the desktop format: its 38.5-inch by 27.5-inch bed, 10-color ink set with red, white, and varnish, and ability to print on objects up to 7.8 inches thick suit sign shops and growing merchandise businesses. The V4000 is available for demo at our Rolling Meadows, Illinois print showroom.

What's the price, and are there promotions available?

The V1070 is regularly priced just under $9,000, with additional savings available through Epson promotions that vary from month to month. See the current pricing information at the top of this page. Call 1-800-771-9665 for current availability.

What's included with the printer?

The box includes the V1070 printer, AC power cable, Epson Edge Print PRO software, a set of eight 140 mL ink packs, ink charging tool, tray attachment, cleaning ink supply unit, jig disposal bags, gloves, wiper unit, and air filters. Everything needed for setup and first prints is in the box.

What maintenance does the V1070 need?

Like all UV printers with white ink, the V1070 needs regular maintenance to keep the white channel printing cleanly and protect the printhead. Follow Epson's maintenance schedule and use the cleaning supplies specified for the printer. Our team can walk you through the routine before you buy.

Is the V1070 a good first UV printer for a small business?

Yes. The V1070 was designed as the entry point into Epson's UV lineup: compact enough for a desktop, priced for small-shop budgets, and capable of real commercial output on promotional products and signage. It's in stock and ready to ship, so you can be printing within days of delivery.

What warranty comes with the V1070?

Epson includes a limited warranty with the V1070, and extended service plans are available. For pre-sale guidance, call IT Supplies at 1-800-771-9665 (Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM CST) — our specialists help shops compare UV models and confirm the right fit before you buy.
