Somerset Photo has been developed specifically with the photographer
in mind. The large colour gamut and colour depth (d-max) of Moab Somerset Photo Satin means that any
reproduction comes out magnificently. With Somerset Photo the black
will look like velvet, full of depth and solid colour. The paper is
produced in a bright white shade, with a smooth satin finish to enable
all images whether they are black and white or colour, to come to life
when printed.
Somerset Photo is from the same range of digital papers as the
well-known Somerset Enhanced. All the Somerset inkjet papers from St
Cuthberts Mill have evolved from the highly respected Somerset
printmaking paper range. They are all mould made, in line with only the
finest quality artist papers.
Made from 100% cotton, to give you a sheet made with one of the
purest sources of cullulose. Not only do cotton papers have the look
and feel of pure quality, they are made from one of the most archival
ingredients around. As standard, St Cuthberts only make archival paper
that is acid free and made from the purest ingredients. To combat acid
attach finished prints may encounter from air pollution, Somerset Photo
is buffered with calcium carbonate.
To achieve the maximum fade resistant print on coated inkjet papers,
pigment inks are advised. This type of ink usually has far greater fade
resistance than the equivalent dye based ink, making it ideal for
coated inkjet papers. With any print, it should be treated with
respect, and not placed in an environment where you would not expect an
original painting to survive.
